Summary

ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced data governance professional to help drive our
existing enterprise data governance program forward. This role is strategy and
policy focused not a solutions or platform implementation role. You will
create and refine governance policies, advance our governance framework in
partnership with our Central Data Office, and serve as a trusted advisor to
senior leadership on data governance direction. This is not a hands-on tool
administration or migration/build role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Create, refine, and maintain enterprise data governance policies, standards,
and procedures
- Partner with our Central Data Office and Governance Lead to advance the
data governance program's roadmap and maturity
- Advise senior leadership on data governance strategy, translating complex
data concepts into clear, actionable guidance for both technical and
non-technical audiences
- Balance business/customer needs against governance requirements, improving
governance practices where it benefits the organization at scale
- Collaborate across IT, business operations, and governance stakeholders to
drive adoption and enforcement of governance policy
- Manage multiple governance initiatives and priorities simultaneously in a
fast-paced environment

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience creating data governance policy and driving governance
strategy/program direction (not primarily platform implementation,
migration, or BI/reporting delivery)
- Strong leadership, relationship-building, and communication skills,
including experience advising senior/executive leadership
- Systems-level thinking able to identify and drive sustainable data
solutions across major projects and business units
- Initiative-driven, hands-on, comfortable stepping in beyond the defined
scope of the role
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, procedures, and
standards (data integrity, quality, compliance)
- Understanding of data privacy and security regulations

NICE TO HAVE
- Exposure to Collibra and Snowflake
- Basic SQL query creation/editing
- Comfort editing Wiki/HTML content and setting up SharePoint lists
- Working knowledge of Power BI and strong Excel skills
- Proficiency leading/facilitating/hosting sessions via Zoom, Mural, and
Draw.io without support
