Job Title: Test Automation Engineer (5+ Years)
Location: Linthicum Heights, MD (Hybrid)

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on QA automation experience. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch, along with a solid foundation in manual testing and a successful transition into automation.

This role will focus on accelerating the software development lifecycle by replacing repetitive manual testing with efficient, scalable automation solutions across web, mobile, and API layers.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Framework Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks from scratch
• Enhance and optimize existing automation frameworks
• Work with tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium

Test Script Development

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using:
• Java
• Python
• JavaScript
• Implement automation for Web, API, and Mobile applications

CI/CD Integration

• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines such as:
• Jenkins
• GitHub Actions
• GitLab CI
• AWS DevOps

Execution & Reporting

• Execute automated test suites
• Analyze test results
• Provide detailed defect reports and quality metrics

Collaboration

• Work closely with Developers, Product Managers, and QA teams
• Identify automation opportunities
• Define automation scope and test coverage

Maintenance

• Refactor and update automation scripts as application changes
• Ensure test stability and reliability

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• 5+ years of QA Automation experience
• Strong experience building frameworks from scratch
• Proficiency in at least one OOP language (Java / Python / JavaScript)
• Experience with:
• Selenium / Cypress / Playwright
• REST Assured / Postman (API Automation)
• JMeter (Performance testing nice to have)
• BDD frameworks: Cucumber / SpecFlow
• Version control: Git / Bitbucket
• CI/CD knowledge
• SQL / NoSQL database knowledge
• Cloud exposure (AWS preferred)

• Agile / Scrum experience
