Summary

Job Title: IT Desktop Support Technician

Location- Remote

Job Summary:

We are looking for an IT Desktop Support Technician to provide technical assistance to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, macOS) and software applications
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
Respond to IT support tickets, calls, and emails in a timely manner
Set up and configure new user accounts, devices, and access permissions
Perform routine system maintenance and updates
Assist with network connectivity issues (LAN/Wi-Fi)
Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
Support remote users via remote desktop tools
Ensure security protocols (antivirus, updates, backups) are followed

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
Familiarity with networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP)
Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues
Knowledge of ticketing systems and remote support tools
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications
Experience with Active Directory and Office 365
Prior experience in a helpdesk or technical support role
