Summary

Title: Senior IT Business Analyst

Location: Austin, Texas

Job Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze, evaluate, and document business systems and user needs.
Partner with business stakeholders, developers, architects, and support teams to gather and define requirements.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical documentation.
Support business process improvement and process reengineering initiatives.
Prepare solution recommendations, risk assessments, and cost/benefit or ROI analyses.
Participate in software development lifecycle activities including analysis, testing, implementation, and user acceptance testing.
Develop and maintain user guides, instructional materials, process documentation, and application support documents.
Create screenshots, visual aids, and step-by-step instructions for end users.
Collaborate with IT and support teams to document application enhancements, updates, and system changes.
Assist with training material development and end-user support documentation.
Facilitate communication between business teams and IT organizations including Architecture, Project Delivery, and Application Support teams.
Ensure all documentation remains accurate, current, and user friendly.

Qualifications:

10 years of Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or related experience.
Experience serving as a liaison between business and IT teams.
Strong experience with requirements gathering, business systems analysis, and SDLC methodologies.
Experience analyzing raw data and supporting data-driven decision making.
Knowledge of business process mapping and process improvement methodologies.
Experience participating in testing activities including unit testing, system testing, and UAT.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to create user-focused technical documentation and training materials.
Experience developing visual documentation including screenshots and workflow guides.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining accuracy.
PMP certification or project management experience preferred.
Experience working within enterprise application environments preferred.
