Your ResponsibilitiesAs a
Part Time Student for
Deere & Co WHQ located in
Champaign, IL, you will build digital products that are consumed at our factories to keep the assembly lines running, and/or help with factory logistics and operations. These enterprise digital products are used by all the John Deere factories across the globe in managing their operations, including manufacturing our great products. The tools will use a modern tech stack that utilizes containerization technology, observability, and deployment pipelines that will deploy the solutions at the intelligent edge in our factories.

- Graduation date of spring 2027 or later
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
- Available to work during the academic year 15-20 hours/weekly
- Available to work during the summer semester 30-40 hours/weekly
- Must be able to commute to the work location in Champaign, Illinois, on a weekly basis year-round (NOTE: Relocation assistance is not provided.)
- Experience with at least one programming language (ie: C#, Python, Java, or JavaScript)
- Experience with a relational database management system (ie: MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server, or Oracle DB)
- Experience creating APIs/web services and front-end development
- Ability and willingness to learn additional skills and grow on the job
What Makes You Stand Out - Experience building applications in ReactJS with Redux
- Experience with source code management tools like GitHub
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment using Jenkins, Drone, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
- Experience with Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
- Understanding of Agile software development approach
