About the OpportunityWe are seeking a highly analytical professional to join our advanced technology team in Oxford, MA. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with engineering leadership, driving data-driven decision-making in a cutting-edge development environment.
The position reports to the
Chip Development Manager, who reports directly to the
VP of Laser Technology, providing strong visibility and career growth potential within the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Apply advanced statistical methods to support product development, process optimization, and engineering initiatives.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, improve performance, and drive business decisions.
- Develop and maintain analytical tools and models using Python and R.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate product performance and manufacturing processes.
- Present findings and recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders.
- Support root cause investigations and design-of-experiment (DOE) activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts through data-driven insights.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Analytics, MBA, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in statistical analysis and modeling.
- Hands-on experience with Python and R for data analysis and visualization.
- 3-6 years of relevant industry experience.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable business and technical recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications- MBA with a strong quantitative and statistical background.
- Experience in engineering, semiconductor, photonics, electronics, manufacturing, or related technical environments.
- Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE), process capability analysis, and predictive modeling.
- Experience with soldering techniques and electronic assembly.
- Ability to dissect and analyze electronic packages down to the component level.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing, failure analysis, or product development environments.
