Highlights of this req: - 4+ years end‐to‐end qualitative UX research ownership (not just assisting): can independently design, run, analyze, and drive decisions from primary research on consumer/digital products.
- Core methods strength (must-have): hands-on depth in usability testing, concept evaluations, and in‐depth interviews (can create guides, moderate, synthesize, recommend).
- Evaluate what users do (tasks/flows) and what they think/feel (perceptions/mental models) and reconcile gaps between them.
- Strong cross‐functional partnering: proven collaboration with PM/Design/Engineering plus ability to work effectively with marketing/sales stakeholders to shape priorities and outcomes .
About the Role Meta is seeking a UX Researcher to support Growth product teams in delivering user-centered solutions. This role is designed for a contingent worker or independent contractor and is not a full-time Meta employee position. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct research, analyze user needs, and provide actionable insights to inform product development. This is a remote opportunity available to candidates located anywhere in the United States.
Responsibilities - Design and execute qualitative user research studies to inform product decisions.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to identify research needs and prioritize projects.
- Analyze and synthesize research findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Present research insights to stakeholders in a concise and impactful manner.
- Maintain research documentation according to UXR reporting standards and ensure compliance with Meta's data protection standards.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in UX research.
Minimum Requirements - Bachelor's degree in human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science or a related field.
- Proven experience conducting user research in a technology-driven environment.
- Proficiency in research methodologies such as in-depth interviewing, usability testing, concept testing, and focus group research.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
