Powerpages Developer (but that may not be the title on resume, they might be listed as PowerApps Developer or some of the Dynamics guys etc. Make sure they have on resume PowerPages Development, AWS Solution Developer Certification a huge plus. If they have ColdFusion also going to give them a better shot of an itnerview
We have a role for a PowerPages Developer onsite in Austin, TX. We are migrating from Coldfusion to Microsoft Powerpages. Having both tools is preferable. Having AWS Solution Developer is a big plus.
The Power Pages Developer will design, develop, and maintain secure web portals and digital services using Microsoft Power Pages, part of the Microsoft Power Platform. This role supports the City of Austin’s digital transformation initiatives by building public-facing portals that allow residents, businesses, and city employees to access online services, submit applications, and interact with city systems. The developer will collaborate with business analysts, IT teams, and stakeholders to build scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions integrated with enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
Portal Development
Design and develop public and internal portals using Microsoft Power Pages.
Customize portal layouts, templates, and themes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid templates.
Build responsive and accessible web interfaces for citizen-facing services.
Power Platform Integration
Integrate portals with Microsoft Dataverse.
Build workflows and automation using Microsoft Power Automate.
Develop forms and business applications using Microsoft Power Apps.
API & System Integration
Integrate portals with external systems using REST APIs.
Connect to enterprise platforms such as:
Microsoft Dynamics 365
Azure Active Directory
Implement secure authentication and user access management.
Security & Compliance
Implement role-based security and permissions for portal users.
Ensure solutions follow City of Austin cybersecurity and compliance standards.
Configure authentication using OAuth, OpenID, or Azure AD.
Testing & Deployment
Test portal functionality and integrations across environments.
Deploy updates and enhancements using DevOps pipelines.
Monitor portal performance and resolve issues.
Documentation & Support
Document portal configurations, workflows, and integrations.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for city departments.
Train internal teams on portal usage and management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Experience
3+ years of web development experience.
2+ years working with Microsoft Power Platform.
Experience building portals or web applications.
