Instrumentation Systems Design Engineer

The Instrumentation System Solutions team is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative engineer to architect next-generation instrumentation solutions across a wide range of high-speed electronic test, measurement, and automated test equipment applications. In this role, you will define, prototype, and demonstrate advanced instrumentation architectures using cutting-edge technologies from Analog Devices' diverse product portfolio.

You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and work directly with customers to translate complex system-level challenges into elegant, high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, characterize, and document innovative proof-of-concept systems for high-speed test and measurement applications.
  • Perform RF/mmWave signal-chain analysis, system-level modeling, and performance evaluation for semiconductor device and subsystem testing.
  • Develop technical collateral-including application notes, reference designs, articles, and tradeshow demonstrations-that highlight instrument-grade performance using ADI products.
  • Solve customer problems by delivering validated system-level solutions, supported by detailed modeling and hands-on measurements in a state-of-the-art lab.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between customers, marketing, design, and product development teams to convert system-level requirements into component-level specifications for current and future ADI products.

Minimum Qualifications
  • BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science with 10+ years of experience, or MS or PhD with 5+ years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of system-level application challenges and a demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive solutions.
  • Experience with high-speed, RF, and mmWave system design, including proficiency with tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, Keysight ADS, and SystemVue.
  • Deep knowledge of analog and high-speed mixed-signal design fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated programming experience in Python, MATLAB, and C/C++.
  • Hands-on experience with test and measurement equipment such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, real-time oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
  • Familiarity with FPGAs, DSPs, and embedded systems.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $131,285 to $190,108.
