Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced System Analyst / QA Manager to lead Quality Assurance activities for the HR1 Medicaid project. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring project deliverables meet state Medicaid requirements while coordinating closely with state agencies, business teams, development teams, and external vendors.
This role will manage the full testing lifecycle, including test strategy, planning, test case development, test data preparation, execution, reporting, defect management, and System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and End-to-End (E2E) testing.
The candidate will also support testing for MMIS, MES modules, COTS applications, data conversion, and system integrations, while ensuring proper test coverage, traceability, data integrity, and QA documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all QA activities for the HR1 Medicaid implementation.
- Develop the overall QA and testing strategy for the project.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the complete testing lifecycle.
- Manage SIT, UAT, and E2E testing activities.
- Coordinate testing for MMIS and Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) modules.
- Support testing of configured Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) applications.
- Coordinate testing related to data conversion and integration from other systems.
- Work with business teams to gather user scenarios and develop test cases.
- Develop detailed test cases based on project requirements and system design.
- Prepare and manage test data for different testing scenarios.
- Conduct test readiness reviews and ensure appropriate test coverage.
- Establish and maintain requirements-to-test traceability.
- Coordinate UAT activities with business users and stakeholders.
- Manage defect identification, documentation, prioritization, and resolution.
- Lead defect triage calls involving multiple vendors, systems, and teams.
- Track defects through resolution and closure within established timelines.
- Escalate critical UAT defects and issues to appropriate stakeholders.
- Verify software changes and validate defect fixes.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues escalated during testing.
- Serve as a liaison between developers, business users, vendors, and project leadership.
- Validate data integrity across integrated systems.
- Maintain consistent QA standards, processes, and documentation.
- Track and maintain historical UAT testing information.
- Prepare and communicate UAT Test Summary Reports and execution metrics.
- Report testing progress, results, risks, issues, and defects to stakeholders.
- Coordinate testing activities across multiple systems, vendors, agencies, and teams.
- Partner with the PMO for project oversight and reporting.
- Identify testing risks and issues early and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure testing activities meet project schedules and deadlines.
- Provide clear communication to business, technical, vendor, and project leadership teams.
