PeopleSoft Administrator / PSADMIN
Location: Remote
Expected allocation: 1,248 hours per year, average 24 hours per week; after-hours and weekend work expected as part of the annual allotment.
Position summary
The PeopleSoft Administrator will design, develop, maintain, and support the Authority’s PeopleSoft Financials, PeopleSoft HCM, PHIRE, and Kronos environments. This role is responsible for administration, performance, patching, upgrades, integration architecture support, and technical issue resolution across the PeopleSoft landscape.
Key responsibilities
- Install, configure, administer, and support PeopleSoft applications across multiple environments
- Apply patches, service packs, bundles, and upgrades
- Troubleshoot issues and maintain detailed issue/change documentation
- Configure and maintain Integration Broker, web services, and ancillary services
- Monitor and improve system performance and tuning
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across the stack
- Create configuration documents, technical specifications, and test plans
- Support PeopleSoft internet architecture components, including web/app servers, Integration Broker, REN server, file attachments, and Change Assistant
- Support Process Scheduler and related batch/reporting services
- Support service resource sizing, integration connectivity, and file transmission issues
- Provide support for PeopleTools upgrades, security patches, tax and regulatory updates, 1095 and 1099 patches, and Oracle premier support compliance
- Provide knowledge transfer to in-house Authority PSADMIN staff
- Train backup resources so support continuity is maintained during PTO or workload spikes
- Coordinate with DBA support as needed and support compliance with Authority policies and infrastructure requirements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of IT experience
- 5+ years of PeopleSoft system and application administration experience
- At least 3 years of experience with PeopleTools 8.55 and above; 8.58 experience is desired
- At least 3 years of experience applying bundles, feature packs, service packs, patches, and performing application / PeopleTools installation builds and upgrades using PUM
Strong experience with PeopleSoft administration, performance tuning, issue resolution, and technical documentation
