POSITION OVERVIEW: As a
CAD Technician at
LJA Transportation, you will be able to develop a strong career foundation, expand your base skills into a broader set of technical tools across multiple disciplines and be assigned project roles that best fit your interests, drive, and skills. A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:- Creating CAD drawings for surveying and engineering projects
- Developing and modifying maps for special assignments
- Preparing plan and profile sheets, exhibits, and supporting CAD files
- Completing redline markups and incorporating review comments
- Producing work based on sketches, verbal instructions, and written notes
- Maintaining current knowledge of design, drafting procedures, and best practices within the specialty field
- Performing other duties as assigned to support project needs
REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:- Minimum of high school or technical school training with courses in computer-aided drafting or equivalent experience
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:- 1+ years experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Technical knowledge of CAD operations and engineering specialty discipline
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers
- Must be adaptable to changes in work assignments as project needs evolve.
