Job Summary
Arch Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Website Designer / Project Manager to lead web design and development initiatives for a federal client (NSF BPA). The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technical expertise, creative design skills, and project leadership, with proven experience managing web projects in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end website design and development projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes
Design and develop responsive, user-friendly web pages using modern web technologies
Manage and guide small teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines
Gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders and translate them into effective web solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including federal agencies, academia, and industry partners
Ensure all web content complies with Section 508 accessibility standards
Implement best practices for SEO optimization and performance
Utilize Drupal (including Layout Builder and components) for website development and management
Work within the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) guidelines and constraints
Manage tasks and workflows using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
Incorporate creative direction and feedback from stakeholders into design solutions
Support outreach initiatives, announcements, and digital communications

Required Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 5 years of expert-level experience in web design and development
Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Proven experience leading small teams in web development projects
At least 3 years of experience working with Drupal, including Layout Builder and components
Experience working within federal or similar regulated environments
Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud for web design
Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices

Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting federal agencies (especially NSF or similar organizations)
Experience collaborating with academic institutions and industry partners
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
