Summary
Responsibilities :
- Applies cash on a daily basis to the retail pharmacy system and Home Infusion pharmacy system for patient and third party payers.
- Has a detailed knowledge of all job functions, corporate policies and procedures in the cash department.
- Minimizes cash reconciliation items.
- Copies batches and updates lockboxes on a daily basis.
- Prepares daily transmittals for deposit of cash receipts.
- Maintains an internal log of all transmittals and cash deposits.
- Processes cash write-offs, cash adjustments and cost center transfers on a daily basis.
- Processes refund requests.
- Corrects all on-line payments and/or adjustment errors as required.
- Resolves all deposits or posting discrepancies.
- Assists in the accounting department with monthly cash reconciliation.
- Interacts with other team members to ensure all are working towards the same objectives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Performs within the framework of RUMC/HDM, L.L.C. policies and procedures
- High School Diploma required.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Requires excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good problem solving skills and the ability to work independently and quickly in responding to and resolving a wide range of problems.
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Flexibility with work schedule.
- Dependable in attendance and job performance.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
