Artificial intelligence/Machine Learning Engineer

Role Summary

This position involves developing and implementing advanced AI and machine learning solutions to support mission-critical systems across healthcare, defense, and regulatory sectors. The AI/ML Engineer will work on designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable data-driven applications that enhance decision-making processes. The role requires collaboration across technical teams to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient AI integrations within complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Understand client business processes to identify opportunities for AI/ML integration and automation.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy machine learning models and AI-driven applications.
• Build and maintain data pipelines for preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training.
• Apply deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and predictive analytics to relevant datasets.
• Integrate AI/ML models into production systems ensuring scalability and operational stability.
• Evaluate, validate, and refine models through continuous monitoring and improvement.
• Document methodologies, ensure reproducibility, and maintain compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, data science, and operations teams to deploy secure and efficient solutions.
• Support broader automation initiatives, including RPA and DevOps processes.
• Maintain expertise in current AI/ML trends and tools to support innovation efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field, with 5+ years of AI/ML development experience; or 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in machine learning, deep learning, or AI application development.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
• Hands-on experience building ML pipelines and deploying scalable APIs using FastAPI, Docker, and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and time series modeling.
• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MSSQL.
• Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) and containerized/serverless deployment environments.
• Familiarity with identity and access management, secure integrations, and API-driven architecture.
• Solid Linux, DevOps, and CI/CD expertise, with experience managing environments for ML deployments.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Publishing Pay Range: $80.00 - $90.00 USD Hourly

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
