Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong Oracle Commerce Cloud (OCC) and Open Storefront Framework (OSF) experience to develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and support complex enterprise e-commerce applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on development skills in Java, JavaScript, SQL, HTML/CSS, XML/JSON, and MongoDB, along with experience supporting integrations, testing, production environments, and enterprise application systems.
State Government experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain complex web and e-commerce applications.
- Develop and support applications using Oracle Commerce Cloud and Open Storefront Framework.
- Analyze existing code and design effective technical solutions.
- Develop, debug, test, and implement application changes and enhancements.
- Troubleshoot application defects, integration issues, and production problems.
- Work with business and technical teams to evaluate requirements and recommend solutions.
- Support system integrations and configuration, including Oracle-based environments.
- Perform code reviews and follow established development standards.
- Conduct unit, integration, regression, and system testing before changes move to UAT.
- Support defect resolution and retesting throughout the development lifecycle.
- Maintain and support non-production environments and promote code through appropriate environments.
- Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in production support and occasional after-hours maintenance activities.
- Prepare technical documentation, design decisions, testing documentation, and level-of-effort estimates.
- Follow enterprise change-management, security, quality assurance, and compliance procedures.
- Collaborate with developers, IT staff, business users, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with evaluating software products and recommending technical solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and act as a subject matter expert when required.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of Java development experience
- 2+ years of Oracle Commerce Cloud / Oracle Commerce experience
- 2+ years of Open Storefront Framework (OSF) experience
- 2+ years of JavaScript experience
- 2+ years of SQL experience
- 2+ years of HTML/CSS experience
- 2+ years of XML/JSON experience
- 2+ years of MongoDB experience
- State Government experience is required
- Strong experience with enterprise web/e-commerce application development
- Experience troubleshooting, debugging, testing, and supporting complex applications
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
