Summary

SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental (SSE) is seeking a Structural Engineer to support Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Northwest (NAVFAC Northwest), Planning Design and Construction Directorate, Design Division (PDC4) in Silverdale, WA.

The Structural Engineer will provide technical design and engineering support for Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects involving a variety of Navy facilities and infrastructure.

What You'll Do:
  • Perform structural analysis and design of building vertical and lateral force-resisting systems.
  • Design retaining structures, utility structures, waterfront structures, and related structural systems.
  • Design structural elements using concrete, steel, and masonry.
  • Review technical reports, designs, RFIs, submittals, cost proposals, and construction documents.
  • Provide technical recommendations and construction-phase engineering support.
  • Coordinate with NAVFAC personnel, project stakeholders, and multidisciplinary design teams.

What You Bring:

Required:
  • Minimum of six (6) years of Design Management and/or Design experience performing applicable structural engineering tasks.
  • Experience performing structural analysis and design of buildings and related structures.
  • Experience with concrete, steel, and masonry design.
  • Knowledge of DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), International Building Code (IBC), and ASCE 7.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to successfully complete required background and security screening.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus from an accredited engineering program required.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of applicable Design Management and/or Design experience required.

Preferred:
  • U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Civil/Structural Engineering is highly desirable.
