GIS Analyst/Programmer

Job Title: GIS Analyst/Programmer
Location: Towson, Maryland
Type: Contract
Compensation: Negotiable - W-2 w PTO, Holidays
Contractor Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite and 2 days remote
Hours: 40 hrs a week
Security Clearance: None but there will be a full background check

Responsibilities

• Perform application development and support activities for the Office of Information Technology’s GIS Program, including maintenance and upgrades of ArcGIS Server applications.
• Assist in developing and maintaining ArcGIS Web AppBuilder applications and interfacing with CityWorks.
• Support configuration efforts in CityWorks and GIS web services used for CityWorks Repair.
• Upgrade existing Facilities and utility toolsets written in Visual C# using Visual Studio 2010 with ArcObjects SDK 10.1.
• Analyze program and production issues, and develop reports using SSRS.
• Develop and modify applications using J2EE, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, C#, and Python, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Work with ESRI ArcGIS technologies including ArcGIS Server, APIs, JavaScript API, Collector, ArcSDE, and ArcGIS Mobile.
• Utilize ArcGIS Model Builder and Python for GIS data analysis and automation.
• Develop and maintain relational databases, primarily using SQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project deliverables are met and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years developing and modifying applications using J2EE, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, C#, Python.
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS technologies including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS API’s, ArcGIS JavaScript API, ArcGIS Web AppBuilder, Collector, ArcSDE, and ArcGIS Mobile.
• Experience with ArcGIS Model Builder and Python.
• Strong knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), Triggers, and Stored Procedures.
• Proficiency in analyzing program and production problems.
• Ability to develop reports using SSRS.
• Solid understanding of relational database concepts, with experience in Oracle or SQL Server preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• On-site work at 400 Washington Avenue, Towson, Maryland, with flexibility for remote work as part of the hybrid model.
