Senior Middleware Developer - Hybrid

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Middleware Developer. This is a primarily remote contract position, but you must reside in Miami, FL to be available for client onsite 25% of the time.

Responsibilities:
* Lead the end to end design and development of middleware services enabling translation and data flow between two enterprise systems
* Build, deploy, and optimize Go microservices running on Kubernetes-based infrastructure
* Define integration architecture, API specifications, data mappings, and translation logic
* Provide technical leadership to developers, ensuring code quality, performance, and reliability standards are met
* Troubleshoot complex integration issues and drive continuous improvement across middleware components

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (required)
* 5+ years of experience building backend services, including strong expertise in Go (Golang)
* Hands on experience deploying and maintaining microservices on Kubernetes
* Proven experience designing or leading middleware / integration platforms connecting disparate systems
* Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, containers, CI/CD, and cloud-native architectures
* Must be local to Miami area and be open to working onsite as needed

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
