Job DescriptionThe Data Center SWAT Technical Program Manager is a senior individual contributor responsible for protecting execution of critical data center deployments by anticipating and resolving risks before they affect delivery. This role leads high-priority, site-based response efforts, aligning Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Validation, and Data Center teams around clear mitigation plans, ownership, and timelines. The position is program-management focused, with accountability for cross-functional execution and delivery outcomes rather than hands-on LV technician work.
This role proactively mitigates schedule, validation, supply chain, and operational risks by identifying issues 6-8 weeks in advance and driving mitigation plans before they impact deployment delivery. It provides dedicated program-management leadership for critical, high-risk sites, rapidly removing blockers and maintaining execution momentum during builds and deployments. The role coordinates cross-functional teams to accelerate issue resolution and reduce delays caused by dependencies, unclear ownership, or competing priorities. Without this role, critical deployments face increased risk of late issue discovery, longer site-level escalations, avoidable schedule slips, and reduced predictability in delivery commitments.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities - Identify execution risks across deployment schedules, site readiness, validation, supply chain, operations, and inter-team dependencies; establish and drive mitigation plans 6-8 weeks before potential impact.
- Lead rapid-response execution for critical deployments and high-risk sites, including escalation management, decision tracking, blocker removal, and recovery planning.
- Serve as the central program-management point of contact among Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Validation, and Data Center teams.
- Build and maintain integrated deployment plans, risk registers, dependency trackers, and executive-ready status reporting.
- Drive accountability for actions, decisions, and committed dates; escalate promptly when risks exceed site-team authority or threaten delivery milestones.
- Analyze recurring deployment issues and translate lessons learned into scalable process, readiness, and operating-model improvements.
- Travel frequently to critical U.S. deployment sites to lead real-time coordination and accelerate issue resolution.
Qualifications - Demonstrated experience leading complex technical programs, deployments, infrastructure builds, or operational readiness initiatives in a data center, cloud infrastructure, hardware, manufacturing, or similarly fast-paced environment.
- Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and coordinate execution across multiple technical and operational functions without direct authority.
- Proven track record of managing ambiguous, time-sensitive escalations and converting risks into actionable mitigation and recovery plans.
- Excellent communication, prioritization, and operational judgment, including the ability to present concise updates to leadership.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to U.S.-based data center deployment locations.
