QA Engineer (Functional Testing)

Role Overview

We are looking for a QA Engineer with strong functional testing experience to ensure the quality and reliability of applications across environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manual testing, API validation, and database testing, with basic familiarity in Azure-based environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing across web and API-based applications.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to create detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Execute test cases and document test results, defects, and observations clearly.
• Perform API testing using Postman to validate request/response structures and data integrity.
• Execute SQL queries to validate backend data and ensure consistency across systems.
• Log, track, and retest defects using test management and defect tracking tools.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Support testing activities in Azure-based environments (basic familiarity is sufficient).
• Participate in test planning, test execution, and release sign-off activities.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Functional / Manual Testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
• Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing.
• Good working knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend testing.
• Experience in writing clear and comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Experience with QMetry is a must.
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Azure environments.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
