Summary

Associate Project Manager (APM)

Position Overview
The Associate Project Manager (APM) is an entry-level project management role within the Program Management Office (PMO) 

Key Responsibilities
1. Project Financial Management

  • Assist in project budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking
  • Monitor actuals vs. planned financials and identify variances
  • Support invoicing, revenue tracking, and margin analysis
  • Maintain financial data integrity across project systems

2. Resource Management

  • Coordinate resource allocation and utilization across projects
  • Track team capacity, demand, and availability ​​​​Support onboarding/offboarding of project resources
  • Collaborate with leadership to resolve resource constraints

3. Reporting and Analytics

  • Develop and maintain project dashboards and status reports
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and project metrics
  • Provide insights to support data-driven decision-making
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders

4. Project Scheduling (Integrated Master Schedule - IMS)

  • Assist in building and maintaining detailed project schedules
  • Track milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities
  • Monitor schedule performance and identify risks/issues
  • Ensure alignment between schedule and project deliverables
5. General Project Management Support
  • Support project governance, documentation, and compliance
  • Maintain project artifacts (RAIDs, status reports, plans, etc.)
  • Facilitate meetings, track action items, and follow-ups
  • Assist with risk, issue, and change management processes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field
  • 0–3 years of experience in project coordination, PMO support, or consulting
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to enterprise software implementation or consulting environments
  • Working knowledge of AI tools (e.g., generative AI for reporting, analysis, or automation)
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
  • Experience with tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar
  • PMP certification (or progress toward certification) is a plus
