Job summaryThe Software Development III role involves supporting the design, development, configuration, and ongoing improvement of an enterprise ServiceNow environment. The developer collaborates with senior technical resources and business stakeholders to enhance ServiceNow capabilities, support custom development, build workflows and automation, and assist with integrations and platform improvements.
Responsibilities - Design, configure, develop, test, and support solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
- Support ServiceNow modules including CSM, ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB, HAM, and HRSD.
- Develop and configure Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, ACLs, and workflow automation.
- Support custom-scoped ServiceNow application development.
- Work with JavaScript/Glide, HTML5, jQuery, CSS, and related web technologies.
- Assist with Flow Designer, integrations, release management, and production support.
- Gather and document technical and business requirements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, daily scrums, development reviews, testing, and deployments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, implementation plans, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, operations teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Support integration of ServiceNow with external applications and systems.
- Assist with testing, debugging, and validation prior to production deployment.
Qualifications - Hands-on experience working within the ServiceNow platform.
- Experience developing or configuring ServiceNow applications and workflows.
- Experience with JavaScript/Glide scripting and ServiceNow configuration.
- Familiarity with ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB, or related ServiceNow modules.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment.
- Self-starter who can work collaboratively and take initiative.
- Must reside in the Washington, DC/DMV area.
Highly Preferred - ServiceNow CSM experience.
- Custom-scoped ServiceNow application development.
- Experience with HAM, CMDB, HRSD, ITSM, ITOM, or ITAM.
- Flow Designer.
- ServiceNow integrations.
- ServiceNow CSA, CAD, or implementation certifications.
- Exposure to Now Assist, AI Agents, third-party LLM APIs, or automated testing frameworks.
- Bachelor\'s degree; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
LocationWashington, DC/DMV area.
SchedulePosition is currently remote; candidates must be able to report onsite in the future if return-to-office requirements change.
