Job Summary - Be team oriented with an understanding of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform dimensional and visual inspection of parts and assemblies in accordance with applicable work instructions, engineering drawings and specifications.
- Be familiar with and accurately utilize basic precision measuring instruments.
- Be familiar with and use common inspection and quality system processes.
- Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned including leading projects and participation in project committees.

- Must be dependable and punctual in attendance.

- Read and interpret blueprint callouts, and effectively explain interpretation to other departments or inspectors as required. Must have a thorough understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Read and understand internal and customer specifications.
- Utilize all common precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, height gages etc.
- Ability to perform complex surface plate set-ups and scribe layouts.
- Ability to add, subtract, divide and multiply in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, and use of basic shop math
Required Experience and Education - Minimum 5years of aerospace quality assurance or manufacturing experience.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
