About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Collaboration & Productivity Architect to lead the strategy, delivery, governance, and optimization of enterprise collaboration platforms. This leadership role will be responsible for driving innovation, adoption, security, and operational excellence across Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Zoom, and related productivity technologies.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership experience, helping shape the digital workplace strategy while delivering measurable improvements in collaboration, productivity, and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Collaboration Platform Strategy
  • Build and lead a high-performing collaboration engineering team focused on architecture, engineering, operations, and support.
  • Define and evolve enterprise collaboration architecture, including Microsoft 365 tenant design, SharePoint information architecture, and collaboration service models.
  • Develop and execute platform roadmaps, design standards, and reference architectures that support scalability, compliance, and business objectives.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to align collaboration capabilities with organizational goals.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for complex collaboration and productivity platform issues.

Microsoft 365 & Collaboration Engineering
  • Lead engineering and continuous improvement efforts for Microsoft 365 services, including:
    • Exchange Online
    • Microsoft Teams
    • SharePoint Online
    • OneDrive
    • Zoom
  • Ensure secure integration with Active Directory / Entra ID and support enterprise identity and access management standards.
  • Define and enforce governance standards related to data classification, retention policies, audit requirements, legal holds, and external sharing.
  • Oversee SharePoint architecture, content lifecycle management, site taxonomy, migration strategies, and design standards.
  • Drive platform reliability, availability, and performance through monitoring, analytics, and service optimization.

AI-Enabled Productivity
  • Integrate practical AI capabilities into collaboration platforms and business workflows.
  • Partner with business functions to develop AI-enabled use cases for:
    • Document creation
    • Content summarization
    • Communications
    • Knowledge discovery
    • Meeting follow-up automation
  • Track and measure productivity gains, user satisfaction, and adoption metrics.
  • Promote effective use of AI tools through training, onboarding, and coaching initiatives.

Adoption, Change Management & User Experience
  • Drive enterprise-wide adoption of collaboration tools and modern workplace practices.
  • Partner with change management teams to improve user experience through communications, training, and governance.
  • Analyze usage and behavior metrics to continuously improve productivity platforms and employee engagement.
  • Ensure collaboration services remain intuitive, scalable, and aligned with business needs.

Strategy & Operations
  • Manage collaboration technology vendor relationships, licensing strategies, renewals, and service optimization initiatives.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve collaboration and productivity.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, architecture standards, governance models, and operational procedures.
  • Act as a thought leader for modern workplace and digital collaboration strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.


Required Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience
  • 10+ years of IT experience with a focus on collaboration and productivity platforms.
  • Experience managing enterprise collaboration technologies, including Microsoft 365, Teams, Zoom, and SharePoint.
  • Strong understanding of governance, security, compliance, and architecture best practices.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional initiatives and driving technology adoption.
  • Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, and vendor management experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within highly regulated environments.
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or similar certifications.
  • Experience leading cloud collaboration transformation initiatives and digital workplace modernization programs.
  • Knowledge of AI-driven productivity solutions and collaboration platform integrations.
