Summary
Seeking a Senior Salesforce Project Manager to own program governance and delivery orchestration across IT Business Systems' portfolio of concurrent, interdependent initiatives, including compensation-system migration and centralization, Salesforce platform expansion and CRM/case-management activation, physician-scheduling platform transformation, and Enterprise Data Hub initiatives.
This role owns the operating system of delivery: integrated plans, governance cadence, risk and dependency management, decision documentation, stakeholder coordination, and executive reporting across assigned initiatives. Platform architecture, technical design, and implementation are owned by the relevant technical leads and architects; this role does not own the underlying build but must understand it well enough to ask informed questions, identify downstream impact, and challenge unrealistic assumptions.
This is an individual contributor role operating with significant autonomy across programs where no single technical or business owner holds the full delivery picture. The incumbent is expected to exercise independent judgment: distinguish an open question from a schedule-threatening risk, form and defend a point of view on status and next steps, and drive issues to resolution rather than merely documenting them. Success requires operating credibly with director- and executive-level leadership without requiring the portfolio leader to interpret findings or chase commitments on the incumbent's behalf.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- These responsibilities are performed within the strategic direction, prioritization, and architectural authority set by ITBS leadership and platform architects.
- Owns the delivery operating system for assigned programs: Integrated plans, milestones, workstream structure, RAID logs, decision logs, and dependency tracking — converting ambiguous or loosely defined initiatives into organized, governed work.
- Establishes and runs program governance cadence: Steering Committee preparation, leadership reviews, stage-gate and milestone reviews, scope and change tracking, and escalation management across concurrent workstreams.
- Serves as the coordination point across business, technical, vendor, and executive stakeholders: Including product owners, architects, integration and data teams, operations leaders, and external vendors — ensuring information moves between teams and follow-through is enforced.
- Identifies and discriminates risk: distinguishes an open question, a manageable dependency, a near-term blocker, and a schedule-threatening risk requiring executive attention, and states which is which with rationale.
- Drives issues to resolution rather than documenting them:Iidentifies the accountable owner, sets a deadline, and escalates with a recommendation when progress stalls.
- Prepares and delivers executive-consumable materials: Weekly leadership updates, All-Hands presentations, executive deep dives, Steering Committee decks, and decision-gate documents — that state implications, options, recommendations, and owners, not just activity.
- Recommends and defends Green/Yellow/Red program status with supporting rationale, including cases where component-level status diverges from overall program status.
- Synthesizes dependencies across interconnected workstreams: Recognizing when a change in one program (e.g., a CRM platform, a data platform, a scheduling system) creates downstream impact in another, even when not yet recorded in that program's plan.
- Supports requirements coordination, acceptance-criteria tracking, SOW updates, UAT and activation planning, and operational-readiness assessment — ensuring a project is not considered ready on technical completion alone.
- Coordinates vendor due diligence: consolidates business and technical questions, tracks responses and open items, and prepares decision materials in partnership with subject-matter experts.
- Maintains and evolves program documentation and governance artifacts as a durable source of truth, structured to survive individual turnover.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Demonstrated ability to convert ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives into structured, governed delivery plans without requiring complete direction before acting.
- Independent executive judgment: able to form and present a point of view on program status, risk, and recommended action rather than relying on the portfolio leader to interpret implications.
- Working technical fluency across enterprise business applications, integrations, data, and identity concepts sufficient to ask informed questions, recognize incomplete analysis, and connect technical issues to business outcomes.
- Strong risk discrimination: Able to distinguish material delivery risk from routine open items and explain the reasoning behind that distinction.
- Cross-workstream synthesis: Able to identify dependencies and downstream impact across interconnected programs, not only within a single project's plan.
- Proactive escalation discipline: Surfaces concerns with an accountable owner, a deadline, and a recommendation, rather than recording a concern and waiting.
- Strong executive communication, written and verbal: able to translate detailed project activity into concise, audience-calibrated materials that identify decisions, options, and next actions.
- Ability to run governance without becoming administratively heavy: practical process that accelerates delivery rather than adding overhead for its own sake.
- Ability to operate with authority and influence across teams that do not report to the incumbent, and to hold senior stakeholders accountable constructively.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years as a Project or Program Manager delivering enterprise application programs, system integrations, or business/operational transformation initiatives, including experience as the primary PM across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Demonstrated experience preparing and delivering executive-level status reporting, including recommending program status (e.g., Green/Yellow/Red) with supporting rationale.
- Proven track record coordinating across business, technical, and vendor stakeholders without direct authority over those teams, including experience driving escalations to resolution.
- Demonstrated experience managing RAID logs, dependency tracking, decision documentation, and governance cadence (Steering Committee, stage-gate, or equivalent) for programs with multiple interdependent workstreams.
PREFERRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Project or program management certification (PMP, PgMP, or equivalent), or formal Agile experience (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience operating within a healthcare, healthcare-services, or other regulated environment.
- Hands-on program experience with one or more of: Salesforce, ServiceNow, QGenda, LinkSquares CLM, Workday, MDStaff, Databricks/Enterprise Data Hub, or an equivalent enterprise application ecosystem.
- Experience managing vendor relationships, statements of work, and due-diligence processes.
- Experience building or maintaining a PM playbook, governance template set, or knowledge-transfer documentation intended to outlast a single incumbent's tenure.
