Python Developer (Capital Markets)

Position: Python Developer (Capital Markets)

Type: 12 months contract
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid: 3-days on-site)

Must haves:

• 
  
  6+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on Python
  
  


• 
  
  Expert-level Python coding skills (this role requires daily, hands-on development)
  
  


• 
  
  Very strong SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, performance tuning, and data modeling
  
  


• 
  
  Proven experience working with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, JMS, or similar)
  
  


• 
  
  Capital markets experience is required, such as:
  
  




• 
  
  Trading systems
  
  


• 
  
  Market data platforms
  
  


• 
  
  Risk, pricing, or analytics systems
  
  


• 
  
  Post-trade, clearing, or settlement platforms
  
  




• 
  
  Demonstrated strong problem-solving ability - can break down problems and drive solutions
  
  


• 
  
  Comfortable collaborating with a team to design and implement technical approaches
  
  


• 
  
  Willing and able to write code live during an in-person interview
  
  

Salary and Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $60 - $75 per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
