Description We are seeking an experienced
Oracle ERP Database Administrator (DBA) to support a critical financial system environment for a government client in Richmond, VA. This role focuses on maintaining and supporting
Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and
Oracle APEX applications, along with the underlying Oracle database infrastructure.
While most work will be performed remotely, candidates
must reside within a 2-hour driving distance of Richmond, VA to attend occasional on-site meetings and events.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and support Oracle databases (version 19c) and related environments
- Maintain and support Oracle EBS R12 modules (GL, AP, AR)
- Support ~25 Oracle APEX applications (versions 21 & 24) including workflow features
- Perform quarterly security patching, system upgrades, and database maintenance
- Manage deployments and changes for APEX applications
- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, issues, and incidents
- Create and manage Oracle Service Requests (SRs) and ensure timely resolution
- Utilize Oracle job scheduler for automation and maintenance tasks
- Write scripts for routine data loads and operational support
- Support database upgrades and migration initiatives
- Participate in occasional after-hours or weekend work for patching activities
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide accurate effort estimates
