Responsibilities
- Take complete ownership of the data science workflow on a day-to-day basis, from framing the initial problem and constructing datasets to model building and final delivery.
- Partner cross-functionally with platform engineering and product teams to integrate and deploy classical machine learning models into live production cloud environments.
- Architect and maintain robust data pipelines, independently gathering, cleaning, and preprocessing data from varied cloud sources and third-party APIs.
- Develop, validate, and deploy predictive models (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, semantic search) to uncover hidden relationships and deep insights within consumer data.
- Evaluate code quality by actively participating in peer reviews, mitigating bias, and ensuring all deployed solutions meet high engineering standards.
- Translate complex business challenges into actionable data science solutions, generating intuitive visualizations and diagnostic reports to guide strategic business decisions.
qualifications:
Must-Haves:
8+ years of professional experience in Data Science or Machine Learning roles.
Deep expertise in classical machine learning algorithms, statistical techniques, and predictive modeling.
Strong proficiency in building, optimizing, and deploying end-to-end data pipelines in a cloud-hosted environment.
Advanced programming skills and fluency in Python and SQL.
Proven track record of converting broad business problems into concrete, deployed data science solutions.
Hands-on experience with dashboarding and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Streamlit).
Solid understanding of secure data handling practices and customer data privacy best practices.
Nice-to-Haves:
Professional background in B2C or direct-to-consumer subscription business models.
Familiarity with the consumer technology or financial planning sectors.
Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and semantic search tools.
Experience using containerization to produce shareable, repeatable code.
