Education Requirements
- Associate degree in a technical field required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience Requirements
- 7+ years of mechanical assembly experience
- Prior leadership experience in a prototype, engineering, or advanced manufacturing environment
- Advanced CAD and mechanical troubleshooting experience
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Strong knowledge of machining, materials, tolerances, and fabrication methods
Job Duties
- Lead end-to-end assembly of prototype equipment and mechanical systems
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications
- Modify, assemble, troubleshoot, and test complex mechanical assemblies
- Work with sheet metal components, machining processes, and fabrication methods
- Support automation, hydraulic, and pneumatic system integration
- Assist with project estimating, labor planning, and cost control
- Mentor and train technicians on assembly processes and best practices
- Drive continuous improvement, quality standards, and workplace safety
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to work with mechanical tools, machinery, and prototype equipment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Ability to lift and move components and materials as needed
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and engineering environment
