### Top Skills & Technologies Computer Vision | Localization | Visuomotor Policies | 3D Vision | VIO / SLAM | Vision-Language Model (VLM) | Diffusion Models | CUDA
### Job Summary Thinking Minds' client is seeking a robotics perception engineer to develop intelligent perception capabilities for autonomous humanoid robots operating in home and commercial environments. This role combines production software engineering, machine learning, and geometric reasoning to translate research ideas into reliable real-world systems. You will own development from initial ideation through deployment, working across disciplines to strengthen an integrated autonomy stack and improve how robots perceive and interact with their surroundings.
### Ideal Candidate Should Have
Deep practical experience connecting machine learning and production software engineering to real-world perception challenges.
A strong mathematical mindset, creative problem-solving abilities, and comfort exploring solutions in a fast-paced engineering environment.
A passion for advancing humanoid robotics, with an emphasis on dependable behavior outside controlled research settings.
The ability to collaborate cross-functionally while taking ownership of technical decisions and delivery.
### Key Responsibilities
Develop perception systems spanning onboard computer vision, localization, visuomotor policies, and offline data annotation.
Own the end-to-end product life cycle, moving concepts through implementation, evaluation, and deployment.
Deliver high-quality, reliable software solutions that support practical robotic applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evolve and optimize the autonomy stack, addressing perception challenges in the context of overall system performance.
Connect perception development with data annotation workflows to support effective learning and evaluation.
### Required Qualifications
Extensive experience applying production-level software and ML engineering best practices.
Strong foundations in probability, optimization, and linear algebra, with the ability to apply these concepts to perception problems.
Domain expertise in 3D Vision, VIO / SLAM, Vision-Language Model (VLM), or Diffusion Models.
Proficiency in geometric computer vision, including perspective transformation, the pinhole camera model, and epipolar geometry.
Ability to navigate ambiguity, explore novel approaches, and solve challenging technical problems.
### Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CUDA programming and real-time systems performance optimization.
Familiarity with scalable data engineering toolchains such as Spark and Ray.
A strong publication record in a relevant technical field.
Demonstrated success developing and deploying production-grade systems.
Thinking Minds' client offers the opportunity to shape autonomous humanoid perception, own meaningful engineering work from concept to deployment, and collaborate on challenging real-world robotics problems.
