Job Description:
Tavant Technologies is looking for a Senior Technical Architect/Principal Architect to join our Collections Squad. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing robust software architectures and will be responsible for leading technical initiatives, guiding teams in best practices, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect scalable and resilient software applications using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.
- Lead the development and implementation of architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Collaborate with product management, development teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Mentor and guide development teams in technical areas, helping them to improve their skills and performance.
- Conduct technical reviews and architecture assessments of existing systems and applications.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure that the architectural decisions align with business needs and technological advancements.
- Manage and support the deployment of applications on cloud platforms, particularly AWS services.
Skills and Tools Required:
- Extensive experience in Java programming and related frameworks, particularly Spring Boot.
- Strong expertise in cloud computing with AWS, including services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in microservices architecture and design patterns.
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
- Experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities to drive technical discussions and decisions.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in AWS or related technologies are preferred.
