Job DescriptionData Management Manager - Enterprise PlatformsLocation: Dallas, TX (Onsite/Hybrid)Job Type: 6-Month Contract (Potential Extension/Conversion)About the Role:We're seeking a strategic and hands-on Data Management Manager to lead enterprise data initiatives across operational, historical, and next-generation data platforms. You'll oversee data architecture, governance, and modernization efforts, while driving the transition to scalable, cloud-based data solutions. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on building strong teams, improving data quality, and enabling data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead and mentor cross-functional teams (Data Architects, Analysts, DBAs, PMs)
- Drive data governance, quality, and master data management initiatives
- Establish data architecture standards, policies, and best practices
- Partner with engineering and leadership on data platform transformation
- Oversee migration to modern data platforms (Data Lake/Lakehouse)
- Ensure compliance, data security, and regulatory standards
- Manage delivery timelines, risks, and multiple concurrent initiatives
Required Qualifications: - 10+ years in data management, data architecture, or data governance
- 7+ years leading cross-functional data teams
- Strong experience managing enterprise database platforms
- Proven success in Master Data Management (MDM) programs
- Experience driving data governance and quality frameworks
- Ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced environments
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Data Lake / Lakehouse architectures
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience in data platform transformation or modernization
- Background working with enterprise-scale data ecosystems
