We are seeking an experienced Python API Developer with expertise in AWS serverless technologies to design, develop, and maintain high-performance REST APIs. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Python, AWS Lambda, Aurora, DynamoDB, Liquibase, and cloud-native application development. This role involves building scalable APIs, optimizing database performance, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and reliable enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable REST APIs using Python and AWS Lambda
Build cloud-native, serverless applications leveraging AWS services
Integrate APIs with Amazon Aurora and DynamoDB while ensuring performance, scalability, and data integrity
Manage database schema changes, version control, and migrations using Liquibase
Develop automated testing, monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting solutions
Implement CI/CD pipelines and follow DevOps best practices for application deployment
Optimize API performance, database queries, and serverless workloads
Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support
Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, and business stakeholders in Agile environments
Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical documentation
Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AWS API Gateway
Experience with CloudWatch monitoring and logging
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
Experience building highly available, enterprise-scale serverless applications
AWS Certifications are a plus
