The ideal candidate must have experience building Teamcenter environments from scratch, configuring supporting infrastructure, resolving complex installation issues, and preparing systems for migration and production go-live.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teamcenter Installation & Configuration

·        Lead end-to-end installation, configuration, and deployment of Siemens Teamcenter in a new environment.

·        Build and configure Development, Test, UAT, and Production environments.

·        Install and configure Teamcenter Enterprise Tier, Web Tier, Active Workspace (AWC), File Management System (FMS/FSC/FCC), Server Manager, licensing, and applicable search/indexing services.

·        Use Siemens Deployment Center or Teamcenter Environment Manager (TEM), as applicable.

·        Configure database connectivity, application services, file storage, and integration endpoints.

2. Linux Administration

·        Administer enterprise Linux servers, particularly RHEL or another Teamcenter-supported distribution.

·        Manage services, permissions, file systems, environment variables, networking, and security configurations.

·        Develop Shell/Bash scripts for deployments, monitoring, and routine administration.

·        Perform system troubleshooting, log analysis, performance tuning, and patching.

3. AWS Cloud Infrastructure

·        Deploy and administer Teamcenter infrastructure on AWS using EC2, VPC, Security Groups, IAM, EBS, EFS/FSx, load balancing, CloudWatch, Systems Manager, and Route 53 as needed.

·        Partner with cloud teams on compute, storage, networking, access controls, security, and operational monitoring.

·        Implement infrastructure resiliency, high availability, backup, and disaster recovery approaches.

·        Resolve connectivity, deployment, and performance issues across Linux, AWS, and Teamcenter.

4. PLM Migration & Environment Readiness

·        Prepare stable Teamcenter target environments for enterprise PLM data migration.

·        Work with PLM architects, migration engineers, DBAs, and business stakeholders.

·        Support data-load dry runs, reconciliation, testing, cutover planning, and production deployment.

·        Troubleshoot application, database, file-volume, and infrastructure issues during migration.

·        Validate performance, stability, and operational readiness ahead of go-live.

5. Production Support & Administration

·        Administer application services, user access, licensing, and system configurations.

·        Monitor availability and performance; investigate and resolve complex technical incidents.

·        Maintain architecture diagrams, installation instructions, configuration baselines, and runbooks.

·        Support patching, upgrades, operational handover, and post-migration stabilization.

Required Qualifications

·        7+ years of hands-on Siemens Teamcenter administration, installation, and infrastructure support.

·        At least one demonstrated end-to-end Teamcenter installation from scratch.

·        Strong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting skills.

·        Practical AWS infrastructure deployment and administration experience.

·        Knowledge of Teamcenter multi-tier architecture and major application components.

·        Hands-on configuration of Active Workspace, FMS, Server Manager, and Teamcenter services.

·        Familiarity with Oracle and/or SQL Server connectivity and coordination with database teams.

·        Experience supporting PLM migration, major upgrade, or enterprise rollout activities.

Preferred Qualifications

·        Siemens Teamcenter infrastructure or administration certification.

·        Infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.

·        Exposure to supported container-based Teamcenter deployment approaches.

·        Experience with CAD, ERP, and other enterprise integrations.

·        Understanding of AWS security, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery.

Key Success Criteria

·        Independently install and configure Teamcenter in a new AWS/Linux environment.

·        Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application deployment blockers.

·        Deliver stable Development, Test, UAT, and Production environments.

·        Support migration rehearsals, cutover, and production readiness.

·        Hand over a stable, documented, and supportable production environment.
