Role Overview:
The Senior Systems Analyst Operations ensures reliable, secure, and efficient operation of the HBX platform and supporting systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Informatica PowerCenter: Install, configure, manage ETL environments, mappings, workflows, sessions; support upgrades
System troubleshooting: Resolve outages, installation issues, Java application errors on JBoss / Tomcat / Fuse (AWS)
Security management: Generate and manage SSL certificates and PGP keys
Batch job operations: Configure, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot jobs using Control-M or equivalent
Web & Application Servers: Configure, maintain, troubleshoot Red Hat JBoss, Fuse, Apache, Tomcat
Monitoring & Logging: Use Splunk for system/application monitoring, alerts, and troubleshooting
Automation & DevOps: Use Jenkins for code check-in, build automation, and release support
Maintenance & Releases: Patch systems, tune performance, backup, execute daily batch cycles (including off-hours/on-call)
Collaboration & Governance: Participate in capacity planning, risk mitigation, PMO processes, change control, incident management
Work Schedule:
Flexible, may include overtime, weekends, holidays, off-hours rotation to support 247 critical operations
Minimum Qualifications:
3 years Informatica PowerCenter administration, support, troubleshooting
3 years Control-M / batch operations experience
2 years working with PostgreSQL or equivalent RDBMS
Experience in healthcare, health insurance marketplace, or health & human services
Strong analytical skills, system troubleshooting, and teamwork
Knowledge of database concepts, SQL, application batch integration
Excellent communication and collaboration in multidisciplinary teams
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years supporting complex enterprise systems
5 years as Batch Operator in enterprise environments
3 years troubleshooting JBoss/Tomcat applications on AWS
Experience with Control-M configuration, web-based systems on AWS, EDI operations
Understanding Java runtime environment (heap, thread dumps, garbage collection)
Familiarity with PMO processes, change control, governance
Demonstrated critical thinking and risk mitigation for production issues
Security & Background Requirements:
Access to Federal Tax Information (FTI)
Must pass:
FBI fingerprint-based criminal background check
Local law enforcement check
Citizenship/work authorization verification
Must comply with IRS Publication 1075, 26 U.S.C. 6103, MHBE privacy/security policies
Ongoing duty to report arrests or charges affecting FTI access
