Financial Trading Systems Product Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Trading Systems Product Engineer to join our growing Product team. This role is ideal for a software engineer with a passion for financial markets and building scalable internal applications. You will work directly with the Head of Product to design, develop, and enhance mission-critical systems that automate business processes, integrate enterprise platforms, and support the company''''s trading and operations infrastructure.

This is a high-ownership role where you''''ll collaborate closely with Product, Sales, and Operations teams to deliver innovative software solutions that directly impact business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain internal software applications and business systems.

• Replace third-party SaaS tools with scalable, internally developed solutions.

• Automate workflows across sales operations, reporting, and client delivery.

• Build and maintain REST API integrations between internal and external systems.

• Manage and optimize SQL databases and core data infrastructure.

• Translate business requirements into technical designs and production-ready applications.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar) to improve development efficiency.

• Ensure code quality through testing, version control, documentation, and deployment best practices.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to continuously improve business processes and system performance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor''''s degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Software Engineering, Operations Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.

• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases.

• Hands-on experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, system integrations, and database architecture.

• Experience with Git, version control, testing, and deployment processes.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Financial Services, FinTech, Capital Markets, Wealth Management, or Investment Technology.

• Knowledge of Structured Notes, Derivatives, Fixed Income, Options, Trading Systems, or Capital Markets.

• Experience with AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar.

• Personal interest in investing, trading, or financial markets is a strong plus.
