Location: Irving, TX - 100% onsite.

Must have: hands on Java coding skills, expereince working with State Machines/workflow orchestration/event driven.

Interview availability: should be available to interview on Mon/Tue - 10/26 or 10/27.

This is a hands-on Java Tech Lead combined with an Engineering Manager role. The person is expected to own technical direction for Java services on AWS, contribute production code on critical areas, and directly manage engineers.

Picture a candidate who can:

Architect and build Java 17+ / Spring Boot microservices on AWS.
Make architecture decisions across compute, databases, messaging, networking, security, reliability, and cost.
Still write/review production code rather than operating only as a people manager.
Directly manage engineers through 1:1s, goals, performance reviews, career development, and performance issues.
Own delivery practices including CI/CD, observability, on-call/incident reviews, and Agile/Scrum execution.
Coordinate effectively with Product, QA, DevOps, Platform, Security, Architecture, and business stakeholders.

Candidate to picture: A current Java Tech Lead / Engineering Manager who has recent hands-on Java/Spring Boot/AWS architecture experience and genuine direct-report management responsibility.
