Position Overview:

KODA Technologies is seeking a Principal Hypersonic Test Engineer to support DoD-wide initiatives to rapidly mature and deliver critical hypersonic technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Customer in the development of Test Plans through the Future Years Defense Program (FYDP) to include the identification of launch vehicles, experiments, and test ranges.
  • Develop detailed test plans, Integrated Master Schedules, other test documentation as required and advise the customer on test readiness.
  • Interface with government/prime contractor customers and range organizations
  • Coordinate test venues, test resources, and participants across the DoD test community.
  • Interpret pre-test link margin and range safety analysis for test awareness.
  • Prepare supporting test execution products and coordinate analysis activities.
  • Assess the technology level of candidate experiments, test vehicles, and launch vehicles and make recommendations to the customer.
  • Assemble and lead test team(s), conduct test team training, and execute tests.

Requirments:
  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in flight test engineering and/or weapon system development that supports duties and responsibilities as described above
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently from high-level guidance.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and support product development in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Strong technical communication and leadership skills
  • Travel may be required to government test facilities, customer sites, and flight ranges, up to 20%

Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience with Department of Defense or national laboratory hypersonic programs
  • Experience supporting a Test Director and/or supporting on-console operations
  • Familiarity with digital engineering environments and model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
  • Knowledge of flight safety, range operations, and mission assurance processes.
