Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Java Full Stack Developer with strong Angular expertise to join a technology team supporting applications within the banking and financial services domain. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise-scale applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, REST APIs, databases, and modern cloud technologies.
The candidate will work closely with business analysts, architects, product owners, QA engineers, and other development teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions for PNC Bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-level full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and RESTful APIs.
- Develop responsive and user-friendly web applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Build scalable backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design and implement secure and efficient REST APIs and web services for integration with internal and external applications.
- Develop reusable, maintainable, and well-tested frontend components using Angular.
- Work with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server to develop queries, stored procedures, and data-access solutions.
- Participate in application architecture, technical design, code reviews, and development best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop unit tests, integration tests, and automated testing solutions to ensure application quality and reliability.
- Troubleshoot application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement appropriate fixes.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability across frontend and backend components.
- Work with messaging and integration technologies such as Kafka, JMS, or similar enterprise messaging platforms.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms using technologies such as OAuth, JWT, and Spring Security.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, monitoring, and production releases.
- Ensure development follows enterprise security, coding, testing, and compliance standards applicable to the banking industry.
- Analyze production issues and provide timely technical support for critical business applications.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and object-oriented programming.
- Extensive experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Strong experience developing applications using Angular.
- Proficiency with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Strong experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed applications.
- Strong SQL and relational database development experience.
- Experience with Git and modern source-control practices.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, or similar testing frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in the banking, financial services, or fintech industry.
- Experience with Kafka or other messaging platforms.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of Spring Security, OAuth2, and JWT.
- Experience with application performance tuning and production support.
- Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and distributed systems.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
