Job Details

The Tax Manager will oversee complex tax engagements, review returns, manage client relationships, and mentor staff within the tax department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical tax work and leadership responsibilities in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of business and individual tax clients
  • Review complex tax returns including:

Partnerships (1065)
S-Corporations (1120S)
C-Corporations (1120)
High-net-worth individual returns (1040)
  • Provide tax planning, projections, and advisory services
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients
  • Supervise and mentor seniors and associates
  • Conduct technical tax research and resolve complex issues
  • Manage engagement workflow, budgets, and deadlines
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and expand client relationships

Qualifications
  • 5-8+ years of public accounting tax experience
  • Strong experience with pass-through entities and HNW taxation
  • Experience managing multiple engagements and deadlines
  • Proficiency with CCH Axcess Tax required
  • Multi-state and Trust & Estate exposure strongly preferred
  • CPA preferred or actively pursuing
  • Strong leadership and client communication abilities
