Job Description:

• Our department is focused on providing a platform for engineering teams to deploy their software. We provide a variety of tools and software for enabling these engineering teams to work and ship code.

Project Description:

• The Stratus platform exists to provide internal customers the ability to deploy their application code to the Cloud and Data Center.
• We regularly need to modify our platform to provide the business with new features, and there is a strong need to keep our systems updated and modernized.

Position Summary:

• We are looking for a Software Engineer to help plan and execute major platform features and capabilities.
• In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing coarse-grained features and capabilities.
• A strong candidate will be skilled at breaking down large problems and defining acceptance criteria for work and will require minimal oversight or direction.

Experience
Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant experience with a bachelor's degree OR equivalent relevant professional experience
• 5+ years of application development experience
• 3+ years of full stack application development experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with Ruby or another object-oriented programming language
• 2+ years of experience with Github Actions
• Experience with Cloud Infrastructure or Platform Operations
• Experience with AWS Administration
• Experience using AI tools such as Copilot for software development

What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for?

• We are looking for a skilled engineer who would ideally have some additional familiarity with Dev Ops technologies and even experience with AWS EKS and Argo CD.
• We are interested in finding a candidate that can coach and teach other junior engineers on the team.
• We would like this candidate to have strong leadership and communication skills as well.
