Education
-
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Required Skills

Hands-on experience with FANUC HandlingTool or FANUC ArcTool Mandatory

Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

Experience in manufacturing process development, implementation, and optimization

Experience with equipment selection, tooling solutions, workstation design, safety, and ergonomics

Strong structured problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills

Ability to apply manufacturing engineering principles to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and waste reduction

Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and manufacturing best practices

Must be comfortable working a split-shift schedule: approximately 6 months on day shift and 6 months on night shift
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with strong FANUC robotics experience to lead manufacturing process development, equipment optimization, continuous improvement, and production launch activities.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with FANUC HandlingTool or ArcTool, manufacturing process engineering, GD&T, tooling, equipment integration, workstation design, and production optimization.
Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end manufacturing process development for assigned projects while meeting safety, quality, cost, and business objectives.

Develop, implement, and optimize scalable manufacturing processes for production environments.
-
Apply advanced manufacturing engineering principles to improve equipment performance, throughput, productivity, and process efficiency.

Support the selection and implementation of manufacturing equipment, automation systems, tooling, fixtures, and workstation solutions.

Utilize FANUC HandlingTool and/or FANUC ArcTool in robotic manufacturing and automation environments.
-
Review and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
-
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, cycle-time improvement, quality enhancement, and operational efficiency.

Establish and standardize manufacturing processes, methods, procedures, and best practices.
-
Identify manufacturing issues and use structured problem-solving techniques to determine root causes and corrective actions.
-
Ensure manufacturing processes and workstation designs meet health, safety, ergonomic, and operational requirements.

Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure project deliverables are completed on schedule and within scope.

Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, operations, suppliers, and other stakeholders to support successful project execution.

Provide technical leadership, knowledge sharing, and coaching to improve overall team capability.

Build strong relationships across engineering and manufacturing organizations to support sustained process improvements.

Support VPI (Value Package Introduction) launch activities, including manufacturing readiness and production implementation.

Ensure manufacturing solutions align with applicable Cummins standards, procedures, and continuous improvement practices.
