Summary

Job Title: Appian Developer

Location: Malvern, PA (Hybrid – 3 days/week from office)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Appian Developer to design, develop, and maintain business applications using the Appian platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with low-code development, workflow automation, and process management, and will work closely with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy business applications on the Appian platform.
Implement workflow automation, process modeling, and rule configuration.
Integrate Appian applications with external systems and databases using APIs, Web Services, and connectors.
Develop UI/UX components, forms, reports, and dashboards in Appian.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, perform unit testing, and support deployment.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Maintain documentation of processes, technical designs, and configurations.
Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong experience in Appian BPM platform development (Sail, Tempo, process models, rules).
Proficiency with integration technologies: Web Services, REST APIs, SOAP, and database queries.
Experience with low-code development and workflow automation.
Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, or related scripting languages is a plus.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Appian Developer or Appian Certified Associate/Lead Developer certification.
Experience with enterprise-scale application deployment.
Understanding of data modeling, relational databases, and cloud deployments.
