Python Backend Developer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Python Backend Developer to design, develop, and deploy scalable backend applications and data processing services. The ideal candidate should have strong Python development experience, hands-on cloud expertise (preferably Azure), and experience building production-ready systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert prototype notebooks and scripts into modular, reusable, and production-ready Python services.

• Develop and integrate backend services with databases, APIs, and external systems.

• Build and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines, including Kafka-based streaming solutions.

• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy them through CI/CD pipelines to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with unit testing, linting, and security best practices.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize applications to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-native backend solutions.

Mandatory Skills

• Advanced Python development experience.

• Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or Google Cloud Platform acceptable).

• Experience building REST APIs and backend services.

• Hands-on experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and API integrations.

• Familiarity with Kafka or other streaming technologies.

• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, testing, and code quality.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Kubernetes.

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep) knowledge.

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.

• Exposure to AI/ML deployment or data engineering workflows.
