Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Research Associate III/Senior Research Associate for an on-site position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in Tucson, AZ. This is a 24-month contract opportunity. Summary: This role is responsible for conducting research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experimentation and other scientific activities. The ideal candidate will have industry experience and will work within a team to support key projects by designing and executing experimental plans, analyzing data, and preparing technical reports.
Responsibilities: - Conduct research, development and manufacturing laboratory experimentation and other scientific activities to support company projects
- Design experimental plans to support project objectives
- Execute bench experiments; make detailed and general observations and analyze data
- Prepare technical reports, summaries and quantitative analyses
- Act independently to develop methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Identify and implement improvements to work processes and laboratory environment
- Work on extremely complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variables
- Exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria
- Participate in or lead cross-functional technical teams
- Work well in a team environment by being a productive project team member, suggesting creative solutions to problems and providing input to project planning
- Troubleshoot problems and institute corrective action
- Prepare and present experimental procedures and results in group and project teams
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree required
- For Research Associate III: A minimum of 4 years of relevant post-college experience
- For Senior Research Associate: A minimum of 6 years of relevant post-college experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 1 year of experience with a Master's degree
- Ideal candidates will have industry experience, as well as experience with IHC and ISH
- Candidates with a Ph.D will not be considered for this role
Pay range: up to $37.77 per Hour
