Pay Range: $48 - $50/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of inbound and outbound licensing audits, including planning, scoping, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external audit firms, licensors, and licensees throughout active audit engagements.
- Review and validate audit findings, royalty calculations, and contractual interpretations for accuracy and compliance.
- Lead resolution of disputed findings, corrective actions, and settlement discussions with external partners.
- Prepare executive summaries, management presentations, dashboards, and audit result reports.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, Commercial, Brand Management, and Revenue Accounting to support audit requests and resolve contractual issues.
- Maintain audit tracking schedules, recovery reporting, and complete audit documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Provide continuity support and guidance to junior audit team members during the coverage period.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in licensing audits, royalty audits, contract compliance, or financial audit functions.
- Experience independently managing audit engagements from planning through resolution.
- Strong understanding of licensing agreements, royalty provisions, audit rights, and contractual financial terms.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to present complex findings to leadership.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, or CFE.
- Experience with royalty management systems or audit tracking platforms.
- Background supporting consumer products, entertainment, media, or licensing businesses.
