Soarian Financials Data Analyst

Role: Soarian Financials Data Analyst

Location: Remote

Our client is seeking a contract Soarian Financials specialist to help us extend our revenue cycle analytics solution to a client running Cerner and Soarian Financials. You will take our existing solution data specifications, translate them to the Soarian data model, and build the data extracts that pull the required data out of the client's Soarian Financials application.

The ideal candidate has both technical and application-level experience with Soarian Financials and can start contributing quickly.

Key Responsibilities

1. Soarian data model expertise. Apply an expert-level understanding of the Soarian Financials data model, including how patient accounts, charges, transactions, claims, payments, adjustments, and denials are structured and related.
2. Specification translation. Translate our existing RCM data specifications into Soarian-specific specifications. Identify which data sets and metrics are, and are not, available in Soarian, and document gaps and workarounds.
3. Extract development. Write, test, and validate the extract code needed to pull data out of the client's Soarian Financials source system, with expert-level coding knowledge of the extraction methods and tooling involved.

Required Qualifications

• • Hands-on experience with both Cerner and Soarian Financials, at the technical level and at the application level.
  • Expert-level knowledge of the Soarian Financials data model.
  • Proven experience translating business or analytics data requirements into source-system-specific specifications.
  • Expert-level coding skills for building data extracts from a source system, including strong SQL.
  • Strong understanding of hospital revenue cycle data and metrics.
  • Ability to work independently on a contract basis with clear documentation and communication.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and the safe handling of protected health information.

Preferred Qualifications

• • Ability to navigate the Soarian Financials application and educate existing team members on its screens, workflows, and how they relate to the underlying data.
