AV QA Technician

Summary
Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to bridge the gap between the Operations and Engineering divisions, fostering collaboration to make projects field-ready.  This role will be responsible for all rack fabrication and quality assurance in and out of the field, and reviewing project designs to identify gaps prior to installation, while providing high-end technical support for customer-related installation issues.
Responsibilities

• Prepare projects for installation by ensuring technical aspects are in place per project specifications.
• Provide high-end technical support for customer installation issues and internal installation technicians.
• Work with design engineers to develop accurate system drawings and project documentation.
• Perform commissioning duties including checking functionality, troubleshooting, and ensuring accurate configurations.
• Oversee the quality of all racks for project plans while adhering to quality standards and time constraints.

Requirements

• 5+ years of A/V experience and/or equivalent level of knowledge.
• CTS certification or the ability to obtain it within 4 months of hire.
• Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and specification sheets.
• Proficiency in structured cabling including pulling, terminating, and testing audio/video cables.
• Proven ability to adhere to CAD elevations and system schematics.
• Valid driver''s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Local, regional, and out-of-state travel will be required on a regular basis.

Preferred

• Demonstrated ability to load DSP programs, configure DSP, and tune as necessary.
• Ability to load A/V control system code competently and work with programmers.
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects and appropriately prioritize tasks.
