What You\'ll Do:

  • CNC Operation: Set up full production cycle and operate CNC machines for tasks such as turning, drilling, bar feeding, and live tooling.
  • Machine Optimization: Optimize setup times, improve productivity, maintain offsets, and maximize machine utilization.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and understand blueprints and route instructions.
  • GD&T Application: Apply expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Program Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot programs and make necessary adjustments.
  • Inspection Process: Follow in-process part inspection protocols and report non-conformance issues to the Supervisor/Lead.
  • Collaborative Communication: Coordinate with superintendents, managers, production control, and quality personnel to resolve quality concerns.
  • Safety Compliance: Work safely and consistently wear required PPE throughout the shift.
  • Shift Documentation: Record and document issues for a seamless shift transition.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform daily maintenance checks and document findings.


What You\'ll Bring:

  • Measurement Proficiency: Knowledge of calipers, gauges, and other required measuring tools.
  • Math Skills: Strong proficiency in basic math.
  • Documentation Skills: Ability to accurately document machining procedures.
  • Tooling Knowledge: Familiarity with metals, part-holding fixtures, and lathe/mill tooling.
  • Machine Experience: Experience with Okuma, Mazak, and Mori lathe machines (preferred).
  • Communication: Basic oral communication skills and the ability to read, comprehend, and complete logs and reports in English.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to handle heavy items, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components.
  • Policy Compliance: Availability to work scheduled hours and adhere to all company policies, including timekeeping.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment and stand for an entire shift.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of machining practices, materials, and general mechanical principles.
  • Willingness to Learn: Eagerness to be trained and a desire to learn new skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Reliability: Dependable with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.


Your Schedule:

  • 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM


To perform this job successfully, you must be able to report daily to the branch to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified candidates with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Wage information:

  • Wage Range: $23.26 - $34.08 per hour

The base salary range above represents the low and high end of Martin\'s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be within the range based on various factors, including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Martin\'s total compensation package for employees. In addition, Martin provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life, and disability insurance, a profit-sharing plan, a 401K trust plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
